Fundación MAPFRE is opening KBr, a new center in Barcelona dedicated to photography, one of the foundation's main areas of cultural activity since 2009.
Two large exhibitions will inaugurate this venue. In the main hall, a retrospective of the works of Bill Brandt, one of the most important European photographers of the 20th century, will be exhibited. Brandt's images, which explore society, the landscape and English literature, are indispensable to understanding the history of photography and even the British way of life in the mid-20th century.
