From September 17th to December 8th, CAMERA – Italian Center for Photography will exhibit “Carousel,” a tour into the eclectic career of Paolo Ventura (Milano, 1968), one of the most well known and esteemed Italian artists in Italy and abroad. After having worked for years as a fashion photographer, he moved to New York in the early 2000s to dedicate himself to his artistic practice. Beginning with his earliest works, Ventura has blended technical abilities with his particular poetic vision of the world, constructing dioramas as the sets for his surreal stories and fairly tales, which are then immortalized by his camera.
