On view from October 1 – December 5, 2024
Poetic Record: Photography in a Transformed World is presented as part of a two-day symposium of the same name that gathers photo-based artists, writers, curators, historians, and students to explore photography’s instability, fallibility, and its troubled relationship to the document. The exhibition is cocurated by Deana Lawson and Michael Famighetti, editor in chief of Aperture magazine, whose Fall 2024 issue Lawson guest-edited, focusing on themes of family, social history, and the astrophysical. Work by Sally Mann is included.
